Welcome to de Porres Enterprises
de Porres Enterprises was founded on a simple belief: that compassion, patience, and love are not just values, but a business strategy. We take our name from St. Martin de Porres, a Peruvian healer, who was denied full standing in his own religious order because of his race, until his character made that exclusion impossible to defend. Once admitted, he was entrusted with managing the community’s resources, distributing care and provisions so that everyone under its roof, regardless of status, received what they needed to thrive. That is the throughline we carry into our consulting work, identifying the barriers that exclude people and redesigning the systems, policies, and workplaces that distribute opportunity, so that compassion becomes infrastructure rather than an afterthought.
de Porres Enterprises is home to a growing family of mission aligned ventures, each carrying the same spirit of compassion and connection into its own space. Among them is Salons by Laurýn, a French style salon experience that gathers people over food, cocktails, and guided conversation. Rather than a conference room or a survey, Salons by Laurýn creates a warm and intentional space where individuals, communities, and organizations can share their stories, explore difficult questions, and be genuinely heard, generating insight that supports better decisions and deeper understanding. Also under this umbrella is de Porres House, our initiative to develop senior assisted living that helps older adults age in place, built in partnership with construction companies and municipal and state services, alongside transitional housing and wraparound resources for youth transitioning out of foster care. de Porres House extends the intergenerational spirit at the heart of everything we do, giving seniors the support they need to remain independent and connected in their own communities while giving young people leaving foster care a stable place to land as they build toward adulthood.
Every part of de Porres Enterprises returns to the belief that people deserve to be met with dignity, integrity, and care, and that when they are, they receive what they need to thrive. That belief takes different forms across what we do, a home through de Porres House, a salon hosted by A Seat at the Table DBA Salons by Laurýn, or a redesigned system inside your own organization, but it never changes shape.
